We are pleased to announce that our third article has been published in the Scientific journal Economic innovations.
T4BS team members Paul Goriup (NGO Agricola, Odessa) and Hrvoje Ratkajec (Arctur) have just published a paper* about the application of TIM in Odessa City. The authors, together with the Odessa Department for Tourism, examined the current level and effectiveness of Tourism 4.0 technologies under the conditions of a large urban coastal destination with a highly diverse economy that is not solely dependent on tourism. Through a better understanding of current patterns of tourist visits, visitor demographics and revenues, infrastructure use, resource consumption and stakeholder collaboration, the study aimed to spur innovative touristic services and policies tailored to the local challenges and opportunities. Even with quite patchy and rather low quality data, it was still possible to gain useful insights about tourism in the city.
